One of the best parts of being an author, and growing my writing community, is meeting other authors and reading their stories.

Each month in my newsletter, I feature a guest author. In 2026, I plan to feature two authors per newsletter. What better way to get children interested in reading than to introduce different books to them.

But besides my newsletter, I plan to start a guest author page on my website and share their stories in my blog too.

Let's start with my friend Rosie Russel. We met virtually in 2021. I forget if I reached out to her to help me with a book, or if she found me, but we've been communicating ever since. She has supported me 100% on my journey and I hope to meet her in person one day.

She is a supporter of other authors through her interviews, blogs, and social media. Not only does she support other authors, but other artists as well. She truly is a person who's goal is to enrich the lives of those around her.

In addition to supporting other authors and artists, Rosie writes and illustrates her own picture books and chapter books. She's written sixteen of them and I've been lucky enough to have helped her with her last chapter book, Magical Fashion Show Contest

Let's give Rosie a little love and check out all that she has accomplished as an author.

I have a bee in my bonnet and it won't stop buzzing. I've crafted three Jazzy Explores books.

Should I do a book on Jazzy Explores Gadsden, Alabama? If so, what should be in it?

The Adventures of Eddie Elf, my new book coming out before Christmas, and right now, it is in the hands of Kirkus reviews.

Eddie doesn’t look like the other elves and he’s pretty sure they don’t like him. He keeps to himself, avoids their games, and definitely doesn’t want to play Ice-ball. One day, when the lunch bell rings and none of the other elves take the time to wait for him, Eddie makes a daring decision. He’s going to break Santa’s biggest rule. No elf is allowed to leave the North Pole.

Stuffing his pockets with cookies and sealing himself inside a toy box, Eddie hitches a ride on Santa’s Christmas Toy Train… straight to New York City.

From joyrides through alleys on the back of a cat named Gary, to tea parties and a tour of New York City taped to a taxi car’s bumper, Eddie’s world opens wider than he ever imagined. But there’s one small problem. Whenever people look at him, he turns to mush. Literally.

The cover is illustrated by Cyndi Harvell. Here's a peek at the image on the back. Goober is trying hard to rescue Eddie from the bumper of a New York Taxi.

The front cover reveal will be happening soon!

Preorder your signed copy today. (But know it wont' get here until November.)
