Her Jazzy’s Books series features fun photographs that delight young readers while introducing concepts like the alphabet, counting, shapes, time, friendship, self-worth and more. What began as a simple photo album in 2017, grew into a self-publishing journey that continues today. Passionate about teaching, she helps writers through leadership in the Chesapeake Bay Writers. She hosts several virtual writing groups, and she participates in the SCBWI and NLAPW.

On her many travels in the United States, Sonja stops to photograph cows. They are curious creatures and often put on a show. This is a collection of cow photos with two word descriptions that make it fun to read and for children to learn simple words.
Sonja spent a few years photographing animals in the local animal shelter. The images were used on the website and helped the animals get adopted. Many of the images in this book, including the cover, are from the shelter, but some are loved pets too. This book also uses two word descriptions for easy reading.
